Has been a veterinarian in Hattiesburg for about 18 years. Owned by 3 dogs, 7 cats, 10 horses, a donkey and a goat. Married to Corey Sumrall. Corey and Brenda have 5 children between them ranging in ages from 12 to 18 years.
Mark Holland has been a veterinarian in Hattiesburg for 17 years. He owns 2 veterinary clinics. One in Wiggins and one in South Hattiesburg.
Name: Mary Ann Songer
Mary Ann Songer. Married to Nate Songer for 16 years. Louisiana born and raised she relocated to Hattiesburg with her husband in 2007. They have 3 children between them and 2 fur babies together, Riley a 7 year old "crippled" Miki and Savannah a 4 year old Maltese rescue. She has been involved with animal rescue most of her life assisting her mom with bottle fed kittens since she was young. When she isn't caring for the cats placed at Petco you can generally find her at our thrift store, Treasure Tails Thrift Shop and Adventures.
Tom and his wife Sally have been involved in breed rescue for many years. They are owned by two rescue yorkies.
Zach is a teacher at Oak Grove Elementary School. Prior to teaching Zach was an employee at an animal shelter and became a proven grant writer.
Proud fur mama of two Mississippi Mutts, Annabel Lee and Nox and two Michigan Moggies, Frodo and Rea. She is not partial to either the canine or feline variety, but has a heart for all animals and as such has devoted that passion to the animals of the greater Pine Belt Area. When not helping with shelter you can find her with her canine accomplices out of doors exploring the great state of Mississippi.
Ginny has over a decade of shelter management experience. She is the go-to person for anything and everything Hub City Humane Society related. She has dedicated all of her time to making this shelter happen, working from early in the morning until very late at night. She attended Pearl River Community College and has been a manager of shelters for years and years. She has many animals that she loves dearly who she saved from a shelter. She has also opened up her home to foster many different animals that were in need of a temporary place to call home. She has 3 children and has 4 grandchildren who she loves immeasurably.
Sarah has been working in animal rescue for several years and has been involved in it almost her entire life. Sarah is a full time student and is a full time mom to her beautiful daughter, Sophia. Sarah is owned by 6 dogs, Ladybug, Annabelle, Minnie Mouse, Tuma, Poppy and Prince.
Zachary Holley is a South Mississippi native. Besides being outdoors, Zachary also loves to care for and interact with all types of animals. Zachary has been working in animal rescue for about 6 years. Even though shelter work can be stressful and emotional at times, Zachary is fortunate enough to work with a crew that is more like a family. At the end of the day, Zachary gets to go home and spend his time with his 3 wonderful fuzzy loved ones. Zachary is owned by 2 cats, Sage, a bottle fed kitten, Pepper another rescue kitty and 1 dog, Thaddeus, a goofy Bulldog mix. Zachary enjoys making a difference in the lives of so many animals at Hub City Humane Society.
Jaclyn in from Cincinatti, OH and has 5 years of experience working with animals. She has an Associate's Degree is Biology and is currently working on a Bachelor's in Nutrition and Dietetics. She is married to Bobby Wehrle and they have an 8 year old Chihuahua named Roxy. They love to go camping and hiking together.

Married to Jean Heaps for 48 Years, together they have 3 Children. A Resident of Mississippi for 36 years and has always maintained a strong passion for Animal welfare and rescue. Retired, after a long career as Vice President of Northrop Grumman. Previous Member of the Society of Naval Architects, Marine Engineers & the Navy league.

Christy was born and raised in gorgeous Colorado and moved to Mississippi in 2000. She is married with one son and is happily owned by 6 pups, 2 cats, 6 horses and 40 cows! Along with her family’s farm adventures, her family owns and operates Waterloo Farms, a wedding and events venue in Bellvue. She loves to volunteer and is active with fundraising, fostering and putting in lots of hours at the shelters thrift store, the Treasure Tails and Adventures Thrift Shop.

Her husband’s last army PCS move brought Jeanette to Camp Shelby and shortly after that she joined our fundraising team. She loves animals and is an active bottle fed kitten foster volunteer. Jeanette has two boys who love animals like mom and they all help out weekly at the shelter thrift shop, Treasure Tails and Adventures.
